Our Local Products

In our shop, you’ll find our honey and mealworm products, as well as items from our partners (maple products, alpaca wool, handmade soaps, etc.), depending on availability.

We offer two types of honey: liquid honey and churned honey, which is the same honey but stirred to make it creamier and spreadable.

Our honey is a “wildflower” honey, meaning it comes from bees foraging in various fields and gardens. It is 100% pure, with no added sugar or water, and produced artisanally. When it is darker, it’s because the bees have foraged heavily in the nearby buckwheat fields!

You can also discover the world of bees through our summer activities:

Mealworms? Currently Unavailable

The mealworm is actually the larva of an insect, the mealworm beetle. Farming mealworms and producing dried worms or worm flour is an alternative to conventional meat-based foods, providing a protein source that uses far fewer resources and is more sustainable for the planet.

Why Is a Farm Product Included with My Ticket?

Domaine Enchanteur is located on agricultural land operated by Domaine de la Forêt Perdue and protected under the Act Respecting the Preservation of Agricultural Land and Agricultural Activities (enforced by the CPTAQ). This law allows us to let visitors explore the trails and enjoy leisure activities as long as they support agricultural production. Essentially, it helps regulate agritourism and ensures farmland isn’t used for other purposes.

When you visit Domaine Enchanteur, you’re not just skating, seeing animals, or tackling the aerial course — you’re making a meaningful contribution. You help protect bee colonies and, in turn, support the pollination of crops, which provide the delicious products from Quebec farms.

By purchasing honey or mealworms produced by Domaine de la Forêt Perdue — the company operating these agricultural lands — you are supporting us. In return, we grant you access to Domaine Enchanteur. This is why it’s not possible to visit without purchasing a local product, and why the product is included in the ticket price.

This way, you enjoy a wonderful day outdoors in a unique and beautiful setting, and you can also taste our delicious 100% pure honey, sold exclusively on-site.
You understand the concept and are ready to cheer us on, but you’re wondering why the local product included with the admission is priced at $9?

Beekeeping is a costly and risky activity. Colonies can be wiped out in a single winter due to disease or poor wintering conditions (as happened in 2020–2021). The artisanal extraction and jar packaging of honey, rather than industrial processing, also involves significant operating costs. Domaine de la Forêt Perdue is a small, family-run, local operation, producing seasonal, additive-free honey from our fields.

Thanks to Domaine Enchanteur, the farm provides year-round, permanent employment for several people and contributes to the vitality and development of the region.

Additionally, to keep your experience fresh each year, we continually develop new activities and installations. Domaine Enchanteur is a unique and original destination, recognized throughout Quebec and internationally. We maintain 15 km of ice trails with a Zamboni, a snowshoe trail, an animal park, obstacle courses, and interpretive activities, as well as lodging, two lakes and streams, equipment rentals and sharpening, catering services, and a restaurant. During the winter season, we’re open daily, including holidays and school breaks, from 9 AM to 8 or 10 PM depending on the day.

Domaine de la Forêt Perdue and Domaine Enchanteur are also deeply involved in their community. Every year, an open house event allows local families — especially those in need — to enjoy the Domaine. We also host many students from across Quebec, who come to learn about bees and support their preservation, along with various sponsorships and social initiatives.

We hope this explanation helps you better understand our activities and how we operate. Visiting Domaine Enchanteur means experiencing something original, sharing exciting emotions, creating lasting memories, supporting local businesses, and contributing to a better future for our planet.

For all this, THANK YOU!
